Rushcliffe Food Co-op
A food co-op is being planned for the residents of Rushcliffe.
This will be a registered community cooperative with volunteer membership and a democratically elected management committee. It will be owned by the members and will support the local economy.
The food co-op will be developed initially as a home delivery service (using bikes and trailers for transport), eventually incorporating a shop where people can visit at any time.
There is a great example of a fully fledged food co-op in Derby http://www.soundbitesderby.org.uk/
